“Teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom”.
Maybe this is why I love horology, the art of watchmaking, of measuring time. Because a careful study of anything that has to do with the usage and passage of time compels you to become a wiser, better person. A man who values time will maximise opportunities.
The craft of watchmaking embodies qualities that resonate with me…qualities such as mastery, excellence, patience, competence, attention to detail, transparency, problem solving…it may look like a very vain hobby, but I love it!
Also, it can be a very good store of value, not very liquid but still there is a growing market for it. And when paper investments finally do tank, you can always fall back on good old real estate, art and horology as alternative investments.

Oh and by the way, I like Kiran Shekar (maybe because he used to be a Wall Street Trader) and WatchAnish.
